MAIN DUTIES

At Atlas, the heavy-duty mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of semi-trucks and trailers to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance with applicable standards.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Here are some additional tasks you will be responsible for :

Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers (brakes, suspensions, tires, lighting, etc.)

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues

Repair or replace defective components

Perform mandatory mechanical inspections (SAAQ / PEP)

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop

Complete work orders and maintenance reports

Collaborate with operations team to minimize downtime

Follow workplace health and safety standards

PROFILE REQUIRED

Who are we looking for? The candidate must :

Hold a DEP in heavy road vehicle mechanics (or equivalent)

Have experience maintaining trucks and semi-trailers

Have good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

Be autonomous, resourceful, and detail-oriented

Hold a valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum)

Speak French or English (minimum)

CONDITIONS

Full-time (between 40 h and 50 h per week);
Compensation : Between $30.45/h and $35.15 $/h + overtime after 9h each day;
Time-and-a-half pay after nine hours per day for mechanics.
